In September we attended and exhibited at the NHF Annual conference. It was an exciting few days for us, we enjoyed meeting up with many of our existing customers and talking to others who are currently working in the sector and were interested in our products and services. It was at the exhibition we met Panda Media who have been working in the sector innovatively using film making to engage with traditionally hard to engage tenants. It was through this meeting that we realised many of our customers would be interested to find out more about their approach and invited them to speak our Communities Workshop. This proved very popular with many of our attendees citing this as one of their favourite sessions.
Over the exhibition we ran a competition for the chance to win £50 towards a community project for residents. Two winners were randomly picked. They were Gareth Evans of Adullam Homes and Steve Scown of Dimensions. Gareth told us the money would be going towards Adullam’s Matt25 project. Matt25 is Adullam Homes’ social enterprise which provides training and recruitment for residents and service users. The project aim is to provide lots of creative outlets for our residents and service users to get involved with and hopefully help generate some income to reinvest in training and further development. The money won by Dimensions was given to Outreach 3 Way who support and house residents with learning difficulties and promote projects that aid social inclusion and access to work skills. We were very happy to support such deserving winners and wish them both the best with their future projects.
As well as exhibiting we also attended the Conference and were impressed by the variety and standard of presentations. One of our favourite presentations was Affinity Sutton’s presentation on Planning for a Fully Integrated Digital Future, in which they outlined the need to take stock of the changing largest customer segment and be ready to serve the digital natives and digital converts with digital access to services via seamless omni-channel delivery. Listening to tenant preferences and providing communication channels accordingly, is one topic close to our hearts here at Arena as our Software allows our users to communicate with their customers via multi methods and record and respond to tenant preferences effectively. Obviously this area isn’t without challenges as data isn’t always replicated across data silos or different systems are used by different departments. However this is one challenge we definitely have our finger on the pulse with. It is one reason why with our software we offer unlimited users so multiple teams can have access to the data and we are looking at ways in which important information and reports can be shared and disseminated back to your other systems.
To summarise it was an informative day for all our team that attended the conference and was great to met old and new faces. If you would like more information on the presentations that day follow this link to the NHF conference page.
